Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies 👇🏻👇🏻

Snowballs have been my favorite Christmas cookies since I was a kid and I recently started putting mini chocolate chips in them 😌other additions: pecans, Reeses cup, Hershey’s kiss. If you want the classic snowball, sub pecans for the choc chips or don’t add either!

These freeze really well too!

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Mix butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add flour and salt and mix until the dough comes together. If dough is too soft, chill it until you can work it easily with your hands. If dough is dry, add one tablespoon of water until it combines. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Scoop 1 tablespoon balls of dough and place on prepared cookie sheet.

Bake cookies for 7-10 minutes until bottoms are just slightly brown. Remove from oven and cool for just a minute, until you can handle them.

Fill a small bowl with powdered sugar and roll each cookie in the sugar until coated (while still warm!). Place on a rack to cool for 10 minutes then re-roll each cookies in powdered sugar.

When I found out we were having a boy I was watching Gilmore Girls…

I called my dr after not hearing back from our genetic testing and they said “oh you wanted to know the sex?” 🤣🤣 YES KAREN.

Everyone, friends and family (except @etcbysarah lol) thought it was a girl so I kinda had it in my mind too. So when she said boy I was like “OK THANKS, BYE” 🤣

BUT THENNNNN I had Gilmore Girls on in the background and it HAPPENS to be the scene where Sookie shows Lorelai her little shed to say they were having a boy “I know nothing about little boys” SAME. So I was like ok this is my sign, this is fine LOL. (I have it in my last slide that I recorded that day)

Yes I did make Brandon watch that scene as a way to tell him when he got home. That all probably sounds lame, but not to an emotional pregnant lady 😆

Ps I was never disappointed, just had to get used to it a little lol.

I’m also glad I have @etcbysarah with her boy experience and knowledge of where the cute clothes can be bought 🤣🤣

We don’t even have a light in the living room 🤣

I’ve always had this pet peeve about unbalanced or too bright light. If I come to your house and turn on lamps, it’s best to just let it happen 🛋️
